Pregnancy & Infant Loss Vigil
Sunday, October 15 - 3:00 p.m.
October 15 is designated as Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Day - a day set aside to remember all of those precious angel babies that have been held in the hearts of their loved ones, even if they never got to hold them in their arms. President Ronald Reagan proclaimed October as Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness month in 1988, and October 15th has grown into a specific day for families to remember together, grieve together, and honor their littlest loved ones together.
This year, we're hosting a vigil to honor all those who have experienced this terrible kind of loss. We're planning a short service as well as a walk down to the Zumbro River to release pink and blue carnations into the river. Following the service and walk, there will be coffee and cookies available at the church for those who would like to stay and spend some time either with others or in prayer in the sanctuary.

Trunk or Treat
Saturday, October 28 - 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.
We're hosting our Trunk or Treat again! Trunk or Treat is a great way for kids to have some fun in their costumes and get a bunch of treats all in one safe, contained space.
Once again, we'll have a lunch of hot dogs, applesauce pouches, cookies, and water/juice available for a free will offering as well as a Halloween/fall-themed bake sale (also free will offering).
And of course, our Halloween photobooth will be making a comeback so you can get some cute pics of your kiddos (or the whole family!) in costume!

Border Battle Sunday
Sunday, October 29 during worship
One of our favorite Sundays is back - our Border Battle Sunday! You're invited to wear your team's colors to church that Sunday (even if they aren't purple or green ... we still love you!).
We're also using this Sunday to have a friendly competition for the Oronoco Food Shelf. We'll have each side of the sanctuary designated for the Vikings and the Packers. You're encouraged to bring food shelf donations and add them to your team's side. After worship, we'll weigh the contributions to see which team wins. This year, whichever team loses is responsible for bringing Fellowship Treats the following Sunday!

All Saints' Remembrance Sunday
Sunday, November 5 during worship
Throughout the month of October, we'll have our tissue paper name banners out in the fellowship room. You're invited to write the names of loved ones that have passed away on the name banners (one name per banner - nice and big so we can read them).
On Sunday, Nov. 5 (the closest Sunday to All Saints' Day), all of the name banners will be hung up in our sanctuary, adding color and life to our worship space with the memories and legacies of the people whose names they bear. We'll also have a special time during the service to honor and remember all of our loved ones who have died.
**If you would like the name(s) of your loved ones included but can't make it in to write them out yourself, contact Pastor Lisa, and she'll fill out your name banner(s) for you.**

Christ the Servant Sunday
Sunday, November 26 during worship
This will be the 2nd time we've celebrated Christ the Servant Sunday. It's a Sunday when we come together for a short blessing/commissioning service, then spend time in local mission work together. Finally, we come back together for a potluck so we can share a meal together as well.
This year, we'll be collecting personal care items for a local organization that reaches out to those who are housing insecure. We'll also be assembling busy bags to share with a local organization that works with kids and families in need.

Christmas Cookie Sale
Saturday, December 9 - time TBD
IT'S BACK!!!!
We'll be holding our Christmas Cookie Sale again this year. There will be thousands of cookies for you to choose from. Come in. Grab a box (or more than one box!) Fill it with whatever cookies tickle your fancy, and pay by the pound.
There will also be coffee and various teas available if you'd like to sit in the warmth for a while, visit with your family/friends, and enjoy some of those delicious cookies that you just bought. :)
